Orthopaedic Trauma Association

A third Fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon is needed to staff The Trauma Group, a division of University Orthopedics, at the region's only Level One Trauma Center. The trauma center at Erlanger sees more than 3,000 admissions annually from a four state area, with significant numbers of poly-trauma procedures. Two Fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeons currently staff The Trauma Group, supported by an AO/ASIF Trauma Fellow, orthopedic residents from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and the physician staff of University Orthopedics. This delivery structure allows for a one-in-seven "on-call" rotation. The position includes a funded faculty appointment in addition to a very generous compensation and benefits package.
