Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon
BC/BE, fellowship trained

Cooper University hospital is the only level 1 trauma center, ACS approved, in Southern New Jersey. There are over 3,000 trauma admissions yearly and 60-70% have orthopaedic injuries. Fellowship training in either subspecialty with experience is desired. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience and are processed through the affiliation with UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The orthopaedic division has fellowship trained hand, spine, and trauma surgeons currently taking care of the busy service. Night call is 9 nights every two months which includes only 2 weekend days per month. Eight rotating orthopaedic residents are available. The orthopaedic trauma service has a full time orthopaedic trauma nurse coordinator who has both clinical and research responsibilities as well as full time orthopaedic technicians for both inpatient and outpatient services. This is an excellent opportunity with competitive salary in an area near Philadelphia, New York, and the New Jersey shore. Cooper University hospital offers the possibility of full time trauma care in an academic setting with the benefits of ancillary support services and an institution and staff dedicated to care of the trauma patient.
