Rapides Regional Medical Center
Rapides Regional Medical Center is actively recruiting two BC/BE Orthopaedic Surgeons to start a new practice as an employed physicians in our community.
The Emergency Room Ortho call will be 1:5. The ideal candidates will have experience or additional training in Trauma. Hospital will be certified as a Level II Trauma service in early 2012. We have a deficit of 11.4 Orthopaedic Surgeons in our service area, and have increased significantly the amount of trauma cases presenting in our ER, so an experienced trauma/general Orthopaedic Surgeon can hit the ground running.
The economic forecast for our hospital is very bright, with a new $50 million dollar expansion completed in 2008. Rapides Regional is an award winning facility and market leader for central Louisiana with a Cycle II Chest Pain Certification as well as Joint Commission Stroke Accredited Center, one of the few in Louisiana with these designations. Also recently named by U. S. News as the third in the state of Louisiana. Louisiana is a Tort Reform State (capped malpractice claims), which makes this a very physician friendly practice opportunity.
Benefits of this opportunity include no capitated insurance contracts, little managed care intrusion, large medical society, safe neighborhoods with housing styles ranging from eighteenth century to modern construction. A strong primary care referral base and medical staff combine to give the new physician an opportunity to build a very successful practice - very quickly.
We will provide a competitive salary, WRVU productivity bonus, overhead, malpractice insurance, relocation and wonderful benefits such as 401K, health, paid time off and many more benefits. In addition, we may be able to provide a sign on bonus.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated Orthopaedic Surgeon to practice in the lovely, rapidly growing area of central Louisiana.
