Athens Orthopedic Clinic is seeking a Board certified Trauma surgeon, subspecialty training is preferred.  The clinic is an 8-physician, 8-P.A. group divided into subspecialties which include Trauma, Sports Medicine, Total Joint, Foot and Ankle, and Hand.  Athens Orthopedic Clinic has multiple ancillaries on-site to include Physical Therapy, MRI and a Surgery Center.  We are the official Orthopedic provider of the University of Georgia Athletic Association.  The Athens Orthopedic Clinic serves a 14-county area with a high volume of semi-elective trauma.  Two hospitals serve the Clarke county area, Athens Regional Medical Center, and St. Mary’s.  ARMC is the county hospital with 315 beds, while St. Mary’s Hospital is a private institution with 196 beds.  Call coverage will be shared equally with six other surgeons.
