The OTA membership includes an
extremely talented and energetic group of surgeons!

You are invited to apply for membership under the
newly created category of “candidate” membership.

The requirements are:

1.   Participant in residency training emphasizing Orthopaedic Surgery or fellowship training in musculoskeletal trauma management.  A Candidate member resident applicant must be participating in an American or Canadian Board approved Orthopaedic Surgery residency program, or participating in an officially recognized training program in a country outside the US or Canada at time of application.

2.   He or she will apply using the same method as for Active membership except:

      •     No publications are required.     

      •     Only one sponsor is required – an Active or Research OTA member, the program chair, or      fellowship director who shall send a letter of recommendation to the secretary.

 3.  A Candidate member who wishes to change membership categories must reapply within five years post residency.

Candidate annual membership dues are $50, but are waived the first year.  Reduced Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma subscription rate is optional.
